How to Prepare Soft Karuppu Kavuni Idiyappam

Add Karigai Karuppu Kavuni Idiyappam Flour to a bowl.

Mix in ¼ tsp salt.

Boil 1 to 1.5 cups of hot water and add gradually.

Stir well to form a soft, smooth dough.

Add a little more hot water if needed; optionally add 1 tsp oil for extra softness.

Keep the dough covered to prevent drying.

Grease the idiyappam press with oil; fill and press thin strands onto greased plates.

Steam for 5–7 minutes until soft and fluffy.

Allow to cool slightly before serving.
