 How to Prepare Soft Karuppu Kavuni Idiyappam

  • Add Karigai Karuppu Kavuni Idiyappam Flour to a bowl.

  • Mix in ¼ tsp salt.

  • Boil 1 to 1.5 cups of hot water and add gradually.

  • Stir well to form a soft, smooth dough.

  • Add a little more hot water if needed; optionally add 1 tsp oil for extra softness.

  • Keep the dough covered to prevent drying.

  • Grease the idiyappam press with oil; fill and press thin strands onto greased plates.

  • Steam for 5–7 minutes until soft and fluffy.

  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.
